Birds of A Feather

Several years ago my wife and I made a super cute stop-motion film together about a hippo who dreams of flying with the birds. We called the short "Birds of a Feather." I now have the puppet at my office so I think about it every once in a while. And the other day I wanted to make something with that main character, so I made a logo for the film.

This is a long exposure photo lit only with my iphone. I set the exposure to 20 seconds and basically painted her with light. I've never done any kind of light painting photography before, but I think i love it.

The girl is a self portrait stop motion puppet my wife made in college.

I just recently started making some 8 bit art... And today I made my first ever GIF! So this isn't perfect... it's been a while since I've done a run cycle and I've never made a GIF so my workflow is kinda wonky, but I think its kinda fun to watch!
